My boyfriend Henry and I have gone to visit my family in London for the Summer holiday. When my parents met him they said "pleased to meet you" and Henry replied,


"Pleased to meet you too."



This means that when I introduced him to my parents he said he was happy to meet them as well. It is polite to say “pleased to meet you” when you meet someone for the first time.
